Hi there! We’re so happy you’ve stopped by for a visit. Backyard Brilliant is written by sisters, Sarah and Beth Anne and their mom, Mary Beth. What started as an etsy shop just over a year ago has evolved into a passion for learning more about nature and a promise to never stop exploring. We hope to kindle that same excitement and wonder in you and your children.
Here at Backyard Brilliant we believe:

2.) The quest for knowledge should never stop.
3.) Getting outdoors is good for the soul.
4.) Spending time with our children should be fun and fulfilling.

A bit about ourselves…
Hi, I’m Sarah, a stay at home mom of 3 who always seems to be scheming and dreaming! My children are Lilly (7), Charity (5), and Sullivan (3). My husband Mike and I are both accountants, so we lean towards the practical with plenty of silliness and fun thrown in. We love being outside, but often that mostly just consists of playing in the backyard. I’m hoping this blog helps me change-up our outdoor routine a little bit, and learn something new in the process.
Hi, I’m Beth Anne, mom to Holden, (3) and wife to Chris, a Marine pilot. I’ve never been afraid of getting my hands dirty, and I get excited about learning new things of all kinds. My little boy has a disability called arthrogryposis, so exploring the outdoors holds new challenges that we like to tackle head-on. Our crazy life will probably take us all over the country as we share on this blog. We hope you’ll come along for the journey and find new ways to learn and enjoy life with your kids.
